Caregiver Support
At Shankara Cancer Hospitals, we recognise the vital role caregivers play and provide assistance, resources, and a compassionate community to help them navigate this challenging path.
As a caregiver, how do I look after myself?
As a first step, we ask our caregivers to take care of themselves. You can't pour from an empty cup. Your well-being is necessary to effectively care for your loved one.
- Dedicate a fixed time in the day for yourself - you can request the assistance of another family member, friend or neighbour to look after the patient during this time.
- During this self-care time, you may meditate for emotional balance, practice a hobby, read a book or engage in physical activities for overall well-being
- Join our support groups, reach out for professional help, and seek assistance from friends and family.
