Our tumour board meetings serve as a great learning opportunity for our student doctors, undergoing their postgraduate super-speciality training in oncology. All our oncology specialists and resident doctors discuss the best treatment plan for our patients during these meetings held twice a week.
At Shankara Cancer Hospitals, Saturdays are dedicated to academic activities such as journal club sessions, continuous professional education events, guest lectures and panel discussions by eminent scientists, doctors and professionals from the industry.
We have several postgraduate, super speciality academic courses affiliated with the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). As a teaching and training institute, we encourage all our DrNB residents and fellows to work on research projects along with the Molecular Research team under the guidance of their clinical heads to nurture and train future leaders in cancer care and research.
Under the guidance of eminent clinicians and scientists of our Academic Advisory Board and Institutional Ethics Committee, our research centres are rapidly growing by collaborating with other research-inclined national and international institutes.

Recognizing the critical role nurses play as the foundation of cancer care delivery, Sri Shankara College of Nursing was established in 2018 to build a strong nursing workforce in the nation. Affiliated with RGUHS, Sri Shankara College of Nursing prepares students to become leaders in oncology nursing by providing exceptional teaching and hands-on clinical training.
