A candidate seeking admission to the Ph.D.program under (1)/(2)/(3) MUST have an aggregate of 60% or an equivalent grade, in any of the following qualifying degree in full-time mode:
- Sciences & Engineering: Master’s Degree (M.Sc./Integrated M.Sc.) in any branch of Life Sciences or M.Tech. (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology).
- Medicine & Dentistry: MBBS/BDS/undergraduate degree of at least 5-years duration or MD/MS/MDS/PG Diploma from an institution recognized by National Medical Council (NMC) (erstwhile Medical Council of India (MCI)/Dental Council of India (DCI).
- Pharmacy: M.Pharm, Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD or PharmD Post Baccalaureate) from an institution/university recognized by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
- Engineering: An aggregate of 75% or an equivalent grade, in 4 year/8 semester B.Tech/B.E. (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology) from an institution/university recognized by UGC/respective regulatory body. However, Ph.D. applicants with bachelor degree are eligible to apply under full time category only.
Candidates with Foreign Qualifications: Master’s degree in any branch of Life Sciences or equivalent from foreign universities will have to produce a certificate of recognition/equivalency by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), as equivalent to the corresponding Indian degrees, for the purpose of higher studies.
- Masters Degree awarded by any recognised university / deemed university.
- M.Sc. in Radiation Physics (or)
- M.Sc. in Medical Physics (or)
- M.Sc. in Physics + One-year Diploma in Radiological Physics
- Candidates must have undergone a 1-year internship after completion of course.
